There was very little to shout about for Arsenal fans on Thursday night. Not only have they had to spend most of the week watching other English teams perform superbly (for the most part) in the Champions League, they have also had to watch their side compete in a scoreless draw with Red Star Belgrade in their Europa League clash.However, one positive that came out of an otherwise dull affair was yet another impressive performance from Jack Wilshere.The 25-year-old, who is valued at £13.5million by Transfermarkt, has undergone somewhat of a resurgence since the start of the season. While he has featured just once in the Premier League, his performances in Europe and the Carabo Cup have seen widespread acclaim among Arsenal fans.And while the Gunners supporters were generally disappointed with Thursday’s performance, they have plenty of positive words for Wilshere, who could be set for more first team appearances in the near future.
