da betano casino: For the first time in a long time, West Ham United fans have reason to be optimistic.

da cassino: Sure, Nuno Espírito Santo’s side are still five points from safety, but they’ve also won their last two Premier League games on the bounce.

Moreover, while it took a last-minute winner to claim all three points away to Tottenham Hotspur, the Hammers were comfortably the better side at home against Sunderland.

Moreover, while some might argue it’s too little too late, West Ham are working hard on reinforcing the squad this month, and it looks like they have identified an ideal upgrade to Konstantinos Mavropanos.

West Ham target Mavropanos upgrade

It’s been a busy month of transfer dealings for West Ham so far, with two confirmed signings in Taty Castellanos and Pablo Felipe, plus a Fabrizio Romano ‘here we go’ for Adama Traoré.

Transfer Focus

Mega money deals, controversial moves and big-name flops. This is the home of transfer news and opinion across Football FanCast.

However, it certainly appears as if the Hammers want to improve their defensive options as well before the window shuts.

So far, they have been linked to the likes of Eric Dier, Axel Disasi, Charlie Cresswell, and Óscar Mingueza.

However, another name has now joined that list of targets, someone who could be the perfect upgrade on Mavropanos.

At least that is according to a recent report from the Mail Online, which claims West Ham are interested in Isak Hien.

In fact, the report has revealed that not only have the Hammers already made contact with Atalanta over the player, but they have also submitted an offer.

The report states that the East Londoners have proposed a loan with a fee and an obligation to buy should they stay up this season.

It could still be a complicated transfer to work out, but given Hien’s ability and experience, it’s one West Ham should fight for, especially as he’d be an upgrade on Mavropanos.

Why Hien would be an upgrade on Mavropanos

The first thing Hien has over Mavropanos is experience.

For example, not only has the Swedish international been playing for a team who are generally near the top of Serie A, but he has also played a role in them winning major silverware.

In the 23/24 season, he made six appearances, all of which were starts, in the club’s triumphant Europa League campaign and played the entire final against then-unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen.

In comparison, the former Stuttgart man has been a part of a Hammers’ side that have languished near the bottom of the Premier League over the last year and a half.

Now, if that isn’t enough to convince you that the former Verona star would be a significant upgrade on the Greek international, then perhaps a comparison of their statistics will be.

For example, Squawka ranks him higher in almost every relevant metric, including things like passing accuracy, recoveries, duels won, goals, chances created, touches, and more, all per 90.

In other words, the 6 foot 3 monster is someone who can and will do all the dirty work required of a centre-back, but also be a real asset in build-up.

Finally, while he has had a number of small injuries, the Kista-born titan has a far better fitness record than the former Arsenal man, and as they say, availability is the best ability.

For example, across his career to date, he has missed just 26 games for club and country, whereas the Hammers ace has missed a whopping 86, and he is only just over a year older.

Ultimately, from his experience to his underlying numbers and simple availability, it’s clear that Hien would be a monster upgrade on Mavropanos and therefore, West Ham should do all they can to sign him.
